Comic Con Denver or DCC ended two days ago, it was my third year, and I attended all three days. I was disappointed in myself mostly, my cosplay game was not strong. My goal for next year is to have at least one extremely well executed cosplay. This blog shall be used to document my experience of creating the perfect cosplay in the next year. I now have approximately one year to execute this. Bellow I will post my goals and check them off as they go.

Goal 1- Loose weight
Goal 2- Figure out what I want to cosplay
Goal 3- Props
Goal 4- Hand create at least one or more items
Goal 5- Have fun

The last goal may be a bit confusing, I suffer from anxiety, especially in large groups that you would find in things like Cinco De Mayo, Free museum days, and Comic Con. I have a hard time having a good time at things that typically would be a good time. Over the next few weeks I will attempt to make a post about how I plan to accomplish each one of these goals.

Given that this is my third DCC I have some commentary about what happened this year. I really enjoyed getting my passes in the mail, it created an easy coming and going environment. I really enjoyed the 5280 stage, the use of most of the rooms for panels, and the dealers area

On a not so posotive note, regardless of having an "Objectification in Cosplay" panel, there was still social injustice. The "Women in Comics" panel had no women on it, and had a large amount of sexist cometary to accompany it. Link here-- http://comicsalliance.com/denver-comiccon-women-in-comics/. There was also a woman who was dressed "inappropriately" due to the fact she didnt have bikini straps on her top, which was applied with prosthetic adhesive, was asked to leave, more on this topic later. The last complaint was the vendors, I love that they are there but its my third con, and its just a lot of the same things, it is also almost the exact same things I buy online. Excluding Monday an hour before close there was no intensive for me to make a purchase as a customer excluding the cost of shipping.
Id like the thank all of the artist who came out, you're all wonderful and talented.
More to come
